First we would like to thanks all of those that gave to our program on the May 1st Day of Giving Campaign. We were humbled by your generosity. Our focus for "Athletic Day of Giving" is for our alums, parents and friends to support our SRU Adidas Apparel Sale. We want you to wear our gear and help promote Slippery Rock University Track & Field / Cross Country. For those that would like to donate money directly to our program that also will be greatly appreciated. Funds that we raise from the SRU Adidas Apparel Sale and from direct donations will be used for unbudgeted travel and equipment. Our men's and women's roster combines for almost 150 student/athletes. We have a large team that always needs extra funds to keep the wheels rolling! This fall we are gaining strength and fitness along with sharpening our skills in the technical events. We have voluntary practices Monday through Friday in small groups spread out over several time slots during the day. We are wearing masks during practice except when we are running, jumping or throwing. The student/athletes have a great attitude and are hopeful for 2021 track and field. |
