| Project Title: | Support the Recreational Therapy Club at SRU! |

This project will help raise funds to assist Recreational Therapy students in attending the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Annual Conference. The conference this year will taking place in Reno, Nevada from September 14th-17th! ATRA is an amazing opportunity for students to network with professionals and other students across the nation. In addition, funds that are raised will support the Recreational Therapy Club during the school year to bring in speakers, host events, and support any trips that might be planned. This past year, the Recreational Therapy Club hosted an Adaptive Sports Day which featured adaptive curling, sled hockey, boccia, and adaptive scuba diving. This event brought professionals to campus to teach our students about adaptive sports that could be used to help the people we serve. The Recreational Therapy Club also hosted a Humor Therapy and Animal-Assisted Interventions event that was open to the entire campus. Please donate to help the Recreational Therapy Club continue to bring speakers and host events to raise support of our amazing Recreational Therapy program at Slippery Rock University! |
